Colin Powellâs Former Aide Angry Over Curveball Lies

Lawrence Wilkerson, Colin Powell’s former chief of staff, told MSNBC’s Cenk Uygur he feels statesman was deliberately misled leading up to the Iraq War, particularly by former vice president Dick Cheney’s office.

Uygur had been discussing comments prefabricated by “Curveball_ – the soubriquet presented to Iraqi offender Rafid Ahmed Alwan Al-Janabi – locution he been presented the quantity to “fabricate something, to fall the regime.” He’s referring, of course, to Saddam Hussein’s regime. He adds that German intelligence “knew” he was lying, but later asked him for more details, which they overturned over to the CIA. statesman went on to excerpt (false) aggregation provided by “Curveball” in a speech.

Wilkerson maintains that statesman did not hit whatever communication that Curveball was misrepresentaation or that anyone in the bureaucratism or CIA knew the aggregation provided Curveball was fabricated. “I think were was whatever touching of this material,” said Wilkerson. “And there was whatever unqualified lying.”
